Trifecta Performance Tunes

Specializing in performance & tuning products to get more from your engine with more horsepower and better gas mileage!

CJ's was started in 1985 with a product called Original Texas Headskins. It was the first product of its kind in the motorcycle business and still sold on EBay and now here.

I have wanted to expand my motorcycle accessories business to something to do with cars and through research I found Trifecta Performance and Vince and is now a Trifecta Tuning Shop.

Our goal in partnering with Trifecta Performance is to provide high quality custom programming services.

CJ has been into cars for 40+ years starting in High School. He drag raced cars in high school and raced  motorcycle from age 10 to 27 on a Hodaka 100 custom built in black and chrome.
His love of cars lead him to buy a 2006 HHR where he as modified it so nothing is stock and it was the first SUPERCHARGED 2.2 HHR in the world. He started his own HHR forum http://ChevyHHRFamily.net  and enters his HHR in car shows all year long.

Original Texas Headskins

The first and original motorcycle helmet liner since 1985. Works great in flying helmets as well.
Great for keeping helmet clean, cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Easier to slide the helmet on and off and especially if you wear glasses. More benefits on the product page.

CJS HHR Shagy- 1st ever 2006 2.2 LS HHR with a tuned M62 Eaton Supercharger

I just tuned a 2008 HHR LS Panel that I installed a M62 on it making it the 2nd 2.2 superchargered HHR.

**We can now dual tune the SS/TCs and have it where it is a stock tune and when you push the T/C button you now have the 52whp/74wtq gain on the tune.
**Also for the T/Cs now there will be no warranty issue w the tune. The dealer will not be able to tell if your car has been tuned and no need to reinstall the stock tune.
Vince will also be working to make this available on alot of tunes now.

Trifecta's HHR SS/TC


Wanting to push the envelope as far as possible, Trifecta has purchased a 2008 Chevrolet HHR SS/TC. There's some new LNF tuning in the works but so far we've pushed this little engine to over 23 to 25 psi on the stock turbo using Trifecta's own "Infiniboost" OS tweak!

2.0 TC (LNF) Custom Tuning & More

Thanks to a local customer with a 2008 Cobalt SS/TC, we can now offer custom tuning for the 2.0 turbocharged engine (LNF). We've been told that we hold the record for the most amount of power out of just a tune on these cars (we hit 301WHP/334WTQ on a stock 2008 Cobalt SS/TC - that's a gain of 52HP and 74TQ). The LNF engine is an amazing engineering accomplishment and we're proud to offer an equally amazing tune for it!

As with every tune that Trifecta offers, no ECM swap is needed, and no relearn procedures are required (such as dreaded clutch-position learn).

Custom programming is the same, but how you get it, is Not
 
When researching custom programming, you’ll find that most custom programmers claim the same thing - improved power, improved fuel economy, and improved drivability. You’ll also find they all require you to remove your PCM. However, only Trifecta Performance can offer custom programming to your specifications, AND the convenience going to a local dealer or with the use of a hand-held programmer to install the custom program, without the high cost of a hand-held programmer.

Unspoken Risks

PCM swapping is the traditional way of receiving custom programming, but it presents many risks, as well: bent or broken pins on the PCM connector, PCM damage in shipping, “crank relearn” problems, and static damage. Sometimes the PCM is very difficult to get to. In other cases, customers wishing to keep their cars totally original, with the original PCM find they must deal with downtime while they ship their PCM off.

What Happens if you DO have a Problem?

Usually custom programming goes smoothly. But what if you run into a problem after you’ve installed your new PCM? Maybe your CHECK ENGINE light is on? Trifecta Performance’s GT Tuner also includes a code scanner feature to help track down issues that may arise. And, Trifecta Performance can email you a modified custom program if, for some reason, the program needs to be modified. If you’re doing a PCM swap, you’re shipping the PCM back to the custom programmer if you need a programming change.
